The place

Cocobei brings Asian-fusion brunch and specialty coffee together in Melbourne’s Docklands. Its café menu sits alongside coffee from Manta Ray Coffee Roasters, while the space combines natural light, timber and greenery. The result is a café identity shaped by the meeting of Melbourne’s everyday coffee culture and an Asian-influenced approach to brunch.

Through the lens

Pools of warm light bring plated food, desserts and drinks out of the dark. Kitchen activity, takeaway cups and timber signage connect the close-up details to the space around them.
