The place

TANYU is a Chinese restaurant brand centred on grilled fish. Founded in Shenzhen in 2013, it builds its identity around exploring different flavours and ways of preparing that central dish. Its Australian presence includes Box Hill, where the local shopping-centre listing describes a grilled-fish menu spanning a range of seasonings and cooking styles.

Through the lens
